Master Relson Gracie will be at Gracie Daytona on Tuesday May 25th at 6:00pm!

Relson is here to prepare myself and Tyler for the Mundials and was able to schedule a seminar on short notice. Please everyone try to come out and support the seminar.

The cost is only $60 for two hours. Relson will cover his tournament strategies and share with us what made him 22 years undefeated Brazilian National Champion!!!

Please note that all regularly scheduled classes for Tuesday will be canceled in lieu of Relson’s seminar.

August 23rd was a great day a Gracie Daytona; in addition to an incredible seminar by Master Relson Gracie there were promotions! Gracie Daytona’s first blue belts were awarded as well as myself, John-Michael Hawk, being promoted to brown belt by Relson Gracie. I would like to further acknowledge my students and state again how incredibly proud I am of every one of them. Congrats to Jay Brennan, Tim Hagstrom, Edwin
Wanderberg, Jim Allison, and Jimmy Esguerra on your promotion to blue belt. This is a great accomplishment in Brazilian jiu jitsu and one met with even higher standards in Gracie jiu jitsu. These are my first students that I have had the honor to be their sole instructor and make the blue belt so it makes me very proud to see their success. I’m also very excited to have been awarded my brown belt in Gracie jiu jitsu by Relson Gracie. I’m very lucky to have had him as my direct and only instructor for all these years.

Great news; once again Master Relson Gracie will be at Gracie Daytona on Sunday August 23 at 5:00 pm for promotions and a two hour seminar! Cost is only $55 for team members!

Don’t miss this seminar!! There are team members ready for promotions, so let’s all come show our support for them as well as showing our support for Relson.

Master Reslon Gracie will be available on Sunday for private lessons also, if interested please schedule with John-Michael. It’s true honor and privilege to be on the same mats as Relson, don’t miss out!

“Team excelled at the Grapplers Quest Southeast Championships

The Gracie Daytona team, headed by black belt Daniel Moraes and instructor John Michael  Quesinberry, did great at the Grapplers Quest Southeast Championships, last November 8th, in Kissimme, Fl.

They took only eight athletes to the event and went back home with no less than 15 medals. The Monk brothers, Nate and Matt, contributed with seven of them. GracieMag has posted news about our competition results from Copa America!

“Team excels at Copa America, in Florida

GMA member John-Michael Quesimberry is very proud of his students. Last weekend, the team from Gracie Daytona did great at the Copa America Jiu-Jitsu, in Lakeland, Florida. Hawk took eight competitors to the event and came back with 11 medals and no voice from instructing his students.

Gracie Daytona’s performance was closed with a perfect exhibition by black belt Daniel Moraes. He won the No-Gi Pro division by beating four tough opponents. In the semifinal, Moraes  beat his fellow countryman Roberto ‘Cyborg’ Abreu. For more info, go to graciedaytona.com.”

Daniel Moraes will be in San Antonio, Texas to perform two seminars. Here’ is GracieMag’s article on the event:

“Brown belt Joshua Lauber, leader of Relson Gracie San Antonio, is offering two days of great lessons for his students with black belt Daniel Moraes. On September 25th-26th, the current middleweight No-Gi champion and GMA member in Daytona, Florida, will be teaching Gi and No-Gi techniches.

Each seminar will consist of 45 minutes in gi and 45 minutes no gi. The cost is US$ 40 for association members, US$ 60 for non-members (per day). For more info, go to graciesa.com”
