August 23rd was a great day a Gracie Daytona; in addition to an incredible seminar by Master Relson Gracie there were promotions! Gracie Daytona’s first blue belts were awarded as well as myself, John-Michael Hawk, being promoted to brown belt by Relson Gracie. “Team excelled at the Grapplers Quest Southeast Championships
The Gracie Daytona team, headed by black belt Daniel Moraes and instructor John Michael Quesinberry, did great at the Grapplers Quest Southeast Championships, last November 8th, in Kissimme, Fl.They took only eight athletes to the event and went back home with no less than 15 medals. The Monk brothers, Nate and Matt, contributed with seven of them. Jon Michael said in one phrase the meaning of the achievement: “Relson is very proud of his Gracie Daytona Team”. “Team excels at Copa America, in Florida
GMA member John-Michael Quesimberry is very proud of his students. Last weekend, the team from Gracie Daytona did great at the Copa America Jiu-Jitsu, in Lakeland, Florida. Hawk took eight competitors to the event and came back with 11 medals and no voice from instructing his students.
Gracie Daytona’s performance was closed with a perfect exhibition by black belt Daniel Moraes. He won the No-Gi Pro division by beating four tough opponents. In the semifinal, Moraes beat his fellow countryman Roberto ‘Cyborg’ Abreu. For more info, go to graciedaytona.com.”

“Brown belt Joshua Lauber, leader of Relson Gracie San Antonio, is offering two days of great lessons for his students with black belt Daniel Moraes. On September 25th-26th, the current middleweight No-Gi champion and GMA member in Daytona, Florida, will be teaching Gi and No-Gi techniches.
